An unexpected party
In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit hole, and that means comfort.
Should I continue reading? My nine year old grand daughter is highly recommending
this book...
I highly recommend it too! I read the entire Hobbit and Lord of the Rings series quite a few years ago and have now seen all of the movies too. I am re-reading the books. I love being in a world of fantasy! J.R.R. Tolkien stories and development of middle earth, fairies, hobbits, dwarf, dragons, etc. is very good reading!
