Waiting on Wednesday...
I came across the Waiting on Wednesday book blog. I am always looking for something new to read on this old porch. The book I am waiting for is Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness...I finished A Discovery of Witches much too quickly and now want more.

It's raining...
...it's pouring on my porch. She is watching the drops fall.
A couple of funny things C's girls said last week. While riding her bike with training wheels on the sidewalk in front of this old front porch H said, "Watch me, look how slow I can ride!" Her older sister flew by...She said, while talking about some silly songs her cousins from TX had tried to teach her, "They have mild crude humor!" Still laughing...
Just finished a really good book. I read a lot. All books are not this good. On the Divinity of Second Chances by Kaya McLaren. In her intro she said she loved this book and thanks for reading it, back at ya, Kaya.

Puppy & rasberries on the porch...
I asked my five year old grandflower what is special in her life? She said, "My Granny!" Lots of brownie points for her...her brother will be eight soon and he get's the fish cake!

Too busy to sit on my porch...
I have been crazy busy, in a good, way all summer. I am in a hurry now but I just had to stop a minute and share my sweet flower girl's profile!

My family Luau...
A summer family get together has given me so many beautiful memories. I love these people who share my blood and my heart. We are separated by miles but I feel close to them. Thank you to my brother and his family for opening their home to all of us.
