Quiet weekend on the porch...

I printed and edited pictures I've taken the last month especially of the new baby. I like them but I have no idea if they are really good or not?? I take a lot of pictures to come up with a few good ones. I put together a one month of life book for her Mom, my baby girl.

I did something constructive...

I have not started on my porch spruce up yet but I scraped off a wall of beat up wallpaper, stairwell, today. I procrastinated for too many years on this one! But it is finally done. I hope to paint the wall tomorrow or the next day.

Porch ceiling project...

On my to do list is the porch ceiling paint job. I either want to paint it pale blue or pale yellow...First I have to scrape and paint the trim. My porch did not weather the winter very well.

Snow on the porch...

Snowfall today and 28 degrees. Snow softens the edges of the world...I took our 13 year old (last month)dog to the vet today. She gets so scared and starts shaking even as I drive up to the office. She just knows. She is getting slower and Arthur is on her back (I remember my m-in-law saying that about arthritis). But she still has the heart of a puppy. This Chocolate Lab is part of the family. Funny story, once I was walking with her and stopped to say hello to my beautician at her shop and the dog hid under a chair to hide, it must have made her think she was at the vet's!

Back on the porch from Texas trip...

I'm back from Easter trip to Texas to visit my daughter and grandkids. It is so very cold here compared to sunny warm Texas. The kids are so loving and sweet and funny!! My little grandson once said "We are havin' rattlesnake for supper, Granny." When I said yuk, he replied,"It's ok, Granny,it tastes just like shicken!!" I thought that was so funny...
I saw a resevoir & dam where the water is so high it has been running over for weeks. Lots of rain & snow this year for TX.
